Start Sewing Again- Jalie 2805 for my baby girl

After so Many year of traveling around. We settled in Canada several years ago. Time fly by, my baby girl just celebrate her 2 year birthday the other day. Since she went to daycare full time I got some sewing time. I used Jalie 2805 as bodice and made 5 dresses for my 2 year old.and I only made one change to the original pattern--shorten the front and back piece to about 10". I drafted the skirt by myself.

my little balck dress

I promised that I will upload another dress that I sewd this weekend. I used a polyester cotton blend jacquard which I found at Wal-mart a year ago, it was a really pretty piece. I used Vogue pattern 8442, which I just had enough fabric to made it up.

Pattern:Vogue8442

Fabric: Cotton polyester blend Jacquard for the shell. french polyester chiffon for the lining.

Size: I made a size 10 without any other alternations.

Red wool coat

I made this wool coat couple weeks ago, before my school started. I used McCall's 5525 B version and I really like it. By the way I'v been sewing a lot this weekend, waiting for my DH to take the pictures for the rest.Plus I'm showing off my favourite boots.

Patten: McCall's 5525

Fabric:light weight Chanel wool(I got it from e-bay) for the shell, Italian silk Jacquard for the lining.

It took me two days from cutting the pattern to sew it up. the only
challenge to me was to find the right bottom. My DH helped me to selected it. give him a A+.
